Farouk honored as Grand Marshall in 32nd Annual MLK Parade in Houston

Please join Farouk Shami in commemorating the memory of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 18th from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Farouk is honored to be the Grand Marshall of the parade and will be accompanied by Derrick King, the nephew of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mr. Shami was a nominee for the Dream Keeper Award which recognizes exemplary displays of committed service to the tenets of Dr. King, the ultimate dreamer, and the Reverend's ideals of social responsibility, political empowerment, diversity, racial harmony, nonviolence, and unselfish service.

Farouk will attend the 22nd Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast at the George R. Brown Convention Center prior to participating in the parade.
